One-of-a kind concept arrives in a one-of-a kind city

The Beer Exchange duplicates their wildly popular original concept in Kalamazoo with dynamic pricing here in the heart of Detroit. Using a completely proprietary algorithm, customers set the beer prices based on the principles of supply and demand, creating an ever-evolving happy hour. Customers can work together to “manipulate” beer prices, just like the stock market—and the result is a truly engaging and exciting experience. Make sure you stick around long enough to experience the random “market crashes,” when beer prices plunge to their all-time low.

The experience doesn’t stop there: Beer Exchange features scratch cooking in an open kitchen with an expansive menu. Everything from classic comfort food to plant-based alternatives have been developed by the culinary team, working in concert with GLCD, and the kitchen design and equipment choices reflect this hyper-focused menu.

Add two more on-site outposts: First, Shorty Bell’s Pizza, where you can pop in to grab some of the best wood-fired pizza in the City, both whole or by the slice.  Located just below the beer exchange sits the Grand River Ball Room. Here, you can grab a can of your favorite brew, bring out your inner pinball wizard, dominate on the indoor bocce court, and enjoy just about any game requiring a ball (hence the name Ball Room).

The Beer Exchange truly has something for everyone, all with quality,  all in one location.

The team at The Beer Exchange we’re excellent partners, and we’re honored to have played a role in bringing them to Detroit.
