Metro Detroit mortgage giant United Wholesale Mortgage contracted GLCD to bring a 1952 Birmingham staple back to life on their corporate campus. We hopped in our DeLorean, put on our paper hats and got to work! The result is a beautiful throwback to the golden age of American fast food. Speed, quality control and product consistency were all center-of-mind when it came to the design—all the staples of a burger joint and shake shack that, decades later, still captivates American taste buds. The opportunity to blend clean lines and modern kitchen tech with tried-and-true processes was particularly rewarding.
